Police arrest female kidnapper, rescues 20 Nasarawa crisis victims

The Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State, Mr. Yakubu Usman, on Monday, arrested a 36- year-old woman, Sandra Linus, for allegedly kidnapping nine-year-old Nnenna Ogbonna in the Masaka area of Nasarawa State.
Usman said his command had also arrested 20 people  in connection with the recent ethnic crisis that engulfed the southern senatorial zone of the state while it rescued and rescued 20 victims of the violence.
Parading the suspects at the state’s Criminal Investigation Department, in Lafia, the state capital, on Monday, the Police Public Relations Officers, Ogochukwu Theordore, who paraded the suspected on behalf of the commissioner, said the command had equally apprehended 25 armed robbers between October and November.
He added that the command arrested 11 suspects for allegedly being in possession of illegal firearms, ammunition and charms respectively.
Items recovered from the suspected criminals between October and November, according to the PPRO, included seven
firearms and two live cartridges.
