"24 Terrorists Killed" In Gun Battle With Troops The insurgents were involved in a shootout with troops of the Multi National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) and the officers were said to have had the upper hand

At least 24 Boko Haram terrorists have reportedly died in a battle with Nigerian troops which took place in Abadam, Borno State.

The insurgents were involved in a shootout with troops of theMulti National Joint Task Force (MNJTF) and the officers were said to have had the upper hand.

Witnesses and security sources said that the battle began in a bid for the military to recover the town which had fallen under the control of Boko Haram last week, Leadership reports.

A senior security source reportedly said that at least two dozen (24) corpses of terrorist fighters were scattered around Abadam after the clash.

The source added:

 “…we have triumphed against the terrorists and more progress is being made towards liberating towns and villages; I can guarantee you that Abadam is now secured”.

A resident of the town, Aliyu Goni is also said to have confirmed the conquest saying:

 “I saw many dead bodies as we were returning back to Abadam after the soldiers encouraged us to go back home. There were many corpses of the Boko Haram members in Arge ward where the leader of the Boko Haram that led the insurgents into Abadam was seen issuing orders”

The Federal Government and Boko Haram reportedly agreed to a ceasefire on October 17 but violence between both sides has continued.

Nigerian female talking drummer Aralola Olumuyiwa spoke in an interview saying that she has no problem with dating a younger man.

The lady drummer whose marriage lasted only three years is ready to stop living the single life. She opened up in an interview with Punch on October 25, 2014 "When I meet the right person and fall in love, I will consider marriage. I really want to fall in love again. I don’t believe in marriage just for its sake. If a younger guy comes up to me, I don’t mind dating the person. I don’t mind marrying somebody who I am older than. I have spoken to a couple of people and they don’t see anything wrong with it. If the person has a mature mind and is committed, then it is not a big deal"

The mother of one also spoke about the kind of woman she is in a relationship "I am not that kind of person. I am the most submissive wife. I am ‘mumu’ for love. You can ask my ex, he can tell you. There was never a day I didn’t ask him what I should cook even though I was the breadwinner. I would always ask him what he wanted. And whatever he said, if we didn’t have it, I would jump on an okada  and enter the market to go and buy the stuff. I am a hopeless lover"

Gorgeous Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro is a year older today October 26, 2014.

'Why I Married More Than One Wife' - 89 Year Old Cleric Explains

89-year old Primate David Olonade has more than one wive and he is not afraid to say it. The founder of The Ark of Covenant Church, Aladura spoke with Kayode Falade of Punch on why he married many wives and how he tries to treat them as angels.

How many wives do you have?

I have many wives but now I live with only two.

Why did you marry more than one wife?

I am a man of peace who abhors violence, nagging or bickering. I don’t have time for such things. I see women as fragile vessels. I have never laid my hands on any woman before in my life. I don’t see any reason for a man to beat his wife. I take care of my wives to the best of ability. I even pamper them. I don’t allow my wives to wash my clothes. I see giving clothes to one’s wife to wash as a kind of punishment. As such, I have always had a washer man to do my laundry. But some women being what they are will still misbehave. When a woman becomes uncontrollable under my roof, after many warnings, I invite her people and ask them to take her away.

Why are you not living with all of them?

I am a man who does not like bickering and quarrels. If a woman is getting too quarrelsome or belligerent, I ask her to leave.

'The Truth' About Nigeria's Finest comedian Ali Baba Finally Reveals

One of Nigeria's foremost pioneers of comedy, Ali Baba,was a guest on Olisa Adibua’s “The Truth” and he spoke about how he started his career:

He has become quite the compère as he has carved a niche himself as a comedian for both corporate and non-corporate events.

According to him, he has been in comedy officially for 25 years and he charges between N4million and free for his services.

Asked how much he made last year, he replied: “You get to a point in your career you don’t make as much, you do less shows and are involved in a lot of charity events. A lot more is expected of you.”

On who his favourite Nigerian comedian is, he mentioned four, Bovi, Basketmouth, Buchi and Gordons. “I judge comedians by different standards,” he said.

Asked how he deals with temptations, he said he has a criteria which are, the lady must have an MBA, be older than 45, own a house of her own on the Island, not a rented apartment and must be widely travelled.
