Yemi Alade- Kissing

The female singer is riding high off the single of 'Johnny'
Yemi Alade presents the video to her latest single "Kissing"lifted off her acclaimed debut album King Of Queens.
The video of the Fliptyce produced romantic smash was shot in London and directed by Sesan. Yemi Alade interprets the musical number with a dramatic and narrative visual about love through the ages. The female singer was recently made an ambassador of peace in Congo. She is planning an album launch concert when she comes back to Nigeria.

Yemi Alade - King Of Queens

Yemi Alade is a powerhouse singer. Her vocals mirror her physical frame, heavy but gentle, beautiful and strong. After dropping the runaway hit 'Johnny', the sexy singer drops her debut album boldly titled 'King Of Queens'. The title already hints at her plans of trying to dominate the female music scene.
In order to achieve this, she takes a shot at various genres of music to prove that she is a capable all rounder. The album doesn't have a core theme, so its best the album is judged for its track by track value, and later evaluating their effectiveness as the sum of a whole.
After 'Johnny' opens the body of work work, Yemi Alade surprisingly drops a Reggae track titled 'Why'. Early on she is already showing off her versatility. 'Why' is an impressive slow tempo track peppered with pidgin English flavour. "Don't go far from me. Baby come back to me" sweetly sings Yemi Alade on the Reggae cut.
It's a local Naija pop groove on 'Pose' featuring R2Bees. Littering the song with her 'Ayakata!' catchphrase, Yemi Alade has a potential hit on her hands. Naturally her dynamic personality effortlessly finds its way on a song of this nature. She has found a way to infuse her personality into her songs which is a plus for her on this 'bubbly' instrumental.
The thing about this album is its unpredictability. Yemi Alade switches genres faster than a playboy changing babes. Luckily this isn't a flaw because the songs are top quality. The next track 'Durotimi' is an R&B track with a pop undertone that has Yemi Alade begging her lover to stay with her. 'Don't you know you are all I've got" pleads the singer on this Sizzle Pro song that showcases her voice with its high pitches.
'Catch You' is a lustful, late night R&B joint for who have naughty thoughts about their crushes, but don't have the courage to follow through with their inappropriate thoughts. The song drips of sex pheromones and carnal desire. Yemi Alade drops a loose rap towards the end of the song creating a sexual rhythm on the song.
She brings out her b-boy persona on the stumping Hip Hop influenced King Of Queens Interlude. "You know I am the king, I am the boss. Yeah I said it I am the boss" confidently says the singer trying to lay claim to her throne. The krumping inspired song further showcases her verstaility.
A reincarnation of 'Johnny' surfaces on 'Money'. There are a lot of similarities between both tracks but 'Money' still possesses enough unique identity to be a hit of its own if promoted. It's a Northern affair on 'I Like' where Yemi displays her almost virginal voice on the El Emcee produced song. Phyno does his thing on 'Taking Over Me' while 'Sugar' is an electro Naija pop track aimed at the dance floor. Yemi Alade has mastered the act of creating these local pop tunes that the Nigerian music scene craves for over and over again. If its craving they want, then 'Sugar' is enough to sweeten their tongues for a good while.
Yemi Alade only features one female act on her LP. The petite singer Chidinma appears on 'Selense' another local pop concotion. At this point of the album Yemi looks like she is satisfied at keeping the album at this pace, fast beats with easy and alluring hooks. However on the next song Yemi considerably slows it down with an 80's ballad 'Fall In Love'. It is on this song that she can actually be a king at this singing gig. On 'Fall In Love' you are taken back to the era when slow love songs reigned supreme. It's a power ballad that divas define their careers with. As she questions how she has fallen for the unexpected person, she happily and surprisingly sings "it feels just like a dream to sit down here and say how it feels to fall in love so deep and yet so real. It's like a fairy tale to hear what I have to say" at the beginning of the first verse.
A strong contender for best song on the album is 'Temperature' featuring Dil. This track is another strong love song with more local flavour. This suggests that this track has huge penetrative potentials. The remainder of the album is filled with already released singles and bonus cuts.
Yemi Alade came out with a strong intent of reigning supreme. With the her first album, she shows that she is the royal highness at stamping her authority on so many genres. She is king at crafting local pop tracks and delivering slow love songs with a regal glow. On King Of Queens, Yemi Alade lays her musical kingdom on the map with beauty, sweetness, and confidence.

The WHO, while declaring the situation in Mali an emergency, stated:
"The child’s symptomatic state during the bus journey is especially concerning, as it presented multiple opportunities for exposures – including high-risk exposures - involving many people."
Mali was previously unaffected by the disease which has killed almost 5,000 people and spread from Guinea to LiberiaSierra LeoneSenegal and Nigeria. The latter two have however been declared Ebola-free.

Programs would also be created to train doctors in Massachusetts and special containment units would be built to evacuate anyone who gets infected.
Allen said:
“The Ebola virus is unlike any health crisis we have ever experienced and needs a response unlike anything we have ever seen,”
“To effectively contain this outbreak and prevent it from becoming a global epidemic, we must pool our efforts to raise the funds, coordinate the resources and develop the creative solutions needed to combat this problem. I am committed to doing my part in tackling this crisis.”
“We really wanted to increase the number of health care workers in West Africa."
Allen joins colleague Bill Gates, who has committed $60 million to the cause and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg who contributed $25 million.
Ebola has killed almost 5000 people and the WHO has warned that the situation would only grow worse if urgent measures are not implemented.

I fell out with Patience Jonathan because I refused to share Rivers money with her" - Gov. Amaechi

Governor of Rivers state, Rotimi Amaechi says the major reason he and the first lady, Dame Patience Jonathan fell out was because he refused to share the state money with her. Gov Amaechi said this yesterday October 24th at the graduation ceremony of the Pioneer graduands of the Ignatus Ajuru University of Education held at Rumuolumeni in Rivers state. He said

"Remember, when I became governor, I fought militancy. Right there where you built a new house used to be a hole where they pass into the river nd escape. The security report reached me and I came here and chased the militants away. I asked them to fence the school premises and block the hole. I have to protect you because it is my responsibility. Some of the militants went to Lagos, Ivory Coast, Ghana etc. Today, they are back because the wife of the President bought them back to protest against me."
I refused to give them money in Abuja because if I do that, I won't be able to carry out any developmental projects or finish the road from Rumuolumeni to Rumuepirikom. The quarel between me and the wife of the Preseident is because she said I should bring your money, Rivers peoples money and share with her" Governor Amaechi alleges

Governor Amaechi is also quoted to have told the graduands that should they vote for President Jonathan back into power in next year's general elections, rivers state's economy would crumble

"Now that you are graduates, you are eligible voters that can use your voters card to change society. Ask yourself this question that I have always asked Rivers people. What have we (Rivers people) done to President Jonathan that he has refused to bring any project to Rivers state. We had to fight them before they could do the East-West road. I had to abuse the federal government and they abused me back before they could do the work you now see on that road. Our President, from the South-South, has taken oil wells from Soku in Rivers state to Bayelsa state. What about the 41 oil wells in Etche that was given to Abia state? Is the President or his wife from Abia? Why do they want us to suffer? If President Jonathan comes back to power in 2015, Rivers state economy will crash" he said

How I was setup and ordered to be given 24 lashes at NDLEA - Baba Suwe Finally Speaks out

Baba Suwe is still trying to recover from the damage resulting from  his arrest for suspected cocaine smuggling  .The veteran yoruba comedian and actor has maintained his innocence and is still demanding for an apology from the NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency ),to help salvage his reputation. In an interview with Nigerian Tribune, he revealed how it all started

It is a long story. What they did tarnished my image. It really hurt me. Theatre is the only way I make money and when my films hit Idumota, it makes the most sales in the industry. I make money from my rental business and as a master of ceremony within and outside Nigeria. The incident affected all that.
The trip I wanted to make when the incident happened was for a friend’s baby’s naming ceremony. I was asked to be the MC at the christening ceremony. I just got back from London about a month before then, from a movie production with Sanyeri. I was at the airport that day with my sibling and a friend.
My friend even had with him, dundu (fried yam) and akara (bean cakes) which we ate at the airport. That was around 8.30 p.m.
I had got a camera from someone around 10.30 p.m. and was about to board when the incident began to unfold. I had walked past NDLEA officials when a lady among them called me, ‘Baba Suwe, go and see the person standing there.’ I went to see the person she pointed at and was surprised when the person took me directly to their scanning machine. I was even more surprised when he told me I was positive. He said I was a drug pusher and I told him I was not. It all seemed like a setup to me. Before I realised what was going on, I was taken upstairs, to their boss’s office and the boss started throwing accusations at me. ‘Baba Suwe, you are a drug pusher. You deal in cocaine,’ he said and I immediately refuted the accusation.
As if that was not strange enough, he ordered one of his boys to give me 24 lashes of the cane. I couldn’t believe my ears. I asked what that was for and the guy he ordered to cane me just looked at me, smiled and left.
It was when he came back that I realised that the situation was serious. They sat me down for a thorough interrogation which lasted till the next day. In the morning, I pleaded with them to, at least, release the man who was arrested with me because he had to be at his child’s christening. They eventually released him that morning and then transferred me to their hospital where they flushed my system but did not find any drug in me.
At this point, their boss even pitied me. He told me he heard they did not find any drug in me and I answered in the affirmative. They took me back to the airport and I thought they were going to release me, but I was again taken to the general hospital, where they conducted series of tests on me but still couldn’t find anything. The only thing they did not do was to open me up and I would have been happier if they had done that because I am sure they still would not find any drug in me. At least, by then, it would be clear that there was nothing in me.

How were you treated while you were being held there?

They maltreated me for the 19 days that I was there. I slept on metal chairs. I was taken to another hospital again and yet, nothing was found. At this stage, my son had got a lawyer for me. The lawyer, in confidence, asked me if I was dealing in drug for real so as to know how to run their case and I told him that I was doing no such thing. I told him I had travelled to many developed countries with sophisticated and automated airports and I had never had any case with them.
I was eventually charged to court and it was then that it came to light that they had gone to court behind my back even when I was in detention and had gotten judgment. I had no idea. It was the judge in this (new) court that blew things open and told them that he was giving them three days and if they did not find any drugs in my system, I would be discharged.
I was taken to another hospital in Victoria Island the next day where tests were conducted on me again and nothing was found in me. They scanned and flushed me and they almost killed me this time around, but still, nothing was found.
We appeared in court the third day and the judge, having heard what happened, asked the NDLEA the result they got from the hospital, but there was nothing to show. The judge then asked me if I could identify the NDLEA official who took me to the hospital and I did. The official I identified, in his own defence, said it was an order from his superiors. Eventually, the judge ruled in my favour and charged NDLEA with defamation of character and ordered them to pay me N25 million as compensation and make a public apology in two national dailies to clear my name. But they are yet to do any of those things.

What is the situation on the case now?

That case is on as we speak. We don’t know how it will end. I am yet to get any compensation from NDLEA and they did not even apologise. Even if they did not pay me a dime but only apologised in the newspapers, I would be satisfied. I hate being implicated and that was exactly was happened.
I actually excreted more than 25 times the first day and nothing was found in my faeces. All the faeces were kept for record purpose.I believe that someone was behind it all. I don’t know who or why he did it. It could be jealousy, but there is no smoke without fire.

Many believe that you used charm to hide the drug…

I did not use any charm. If there was a charm for drug dealing, I believe the herbalists would be the ones doing drug business themselves. It is said that nobody could have cocaine in their system for more than two days and survive it. I was in detention for 19 days. I love being in company when travelling, so, would I be dealing in drugs and be travelling with people, different people for that matter? I did not use charm. I am not a cocaine pusher, so, I need no charm to cover anything up. God has blessed me in the movie industry and all the wealth and fame I got was from making movies.

Why I Won’t Be Getting Married Now - Harrysong Reveals

Having A Tattoo Makes Me Feel Like The Devil’s Child - Ego

Former Lagbaja singing partner, Ego has said even though she loves tattoos and wanted to get it at a time, she’s glad she didn’t because it makes her feel she is the devil’s child. Here’s are reasons for not having tattoos.

My first reason borders on religion. There is a part of the Bible that is against writing anything on your body. I feel if I do it, I am the devil’s child. At a time I wanted to get it, I went to the tattoo parlour but for a weird reason, it did not happen. It was like a phase and after a while, I got over it. I actually wanted to choose between tattoo and my dreadlocks; I could not have them both, she told Punch.
