Seun Oloketuy Accuses Actor Elvis Chuks As Masterminder To Linda ikeji's False Publications

The Organiser of  Best of Nollywood awards (BON), Seun Oloketuyi is accusing popular blogger Linda Ikeji of publishing false stories about the 7th edition of the Best of Nollywood (BON Awards) that took place at the River State Government House in Port Harcourt.

According to Seun, who also accused Nollywood actor and producer, Elvis Chuks as the masterminding the controversy on Linda's blog. According to Linda's publication, she wrote that Gov. Rotimi said he gives Joke Silva and Kate Henshaw bags of money whenever they visit Rivers state, and that he is the reason behind Kate Henshaw's venture into politics and so on. Seun has addressed the issue. Read his message below...

Dear all, I want to use this opportunity to thank the over 200 guests who flew to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, from all over Nigeria to witness the 2014 BON Awards and to say thank you to Governor Amaechi for his love for the arts and Nollywood.

However, the events of the last 24hrs have come as a shock to me and what keeps ringing in my head is why? Though there is an official press release to debunk the misinformation on Linda Ikeji’s blog, this message is to address the issue of fiends masquerading as friends.

Elvis Chuks is supposed to be my friend. He was one of the few Nollywood guys who sent me a birthday present this year. He has direct access to me and he is an integral part of another project I am involved in. Elvis was in PH as a nominee and was accorded the same courtesies as other celebrities.
You can therefore imagine my shock to discover that he is not just the source of Linda Ikeji’s fallacy, he has been sending broadcasts that Mama G and Liz Benson walked from the Government House gate to the banquet hall. He lied. I rode in the bus that took them, Yinka Quadri and Sola Sobowale to the venue. They are alive and checks could be made. My friend also complained of not getting food and drink at the event. Yes, because we were not having an owambe.

Lunch and dinner were provided buffet-style at the various hotels. Besides, I have never seen an international awards show where food is served. I pity Elvis really because BON Awards is an idea inspired by God and no amount of negative campaign can bring it down.

On Linda’s post, it is scary that we chatted and exchanged mails at 9am when she made enquiries about the event pictures only for her to post her lies as (usual) without asking for our side of the story. Yet, this is somebody I call my friend and who can reach me anytime. If Linda thinks she is invincible and could therefore bring other people down, let her be reminded of the fall of Sani Abacha and Ghadaffi.

She also said Nigerian women rarely follow her on social media because they have very low self esteem. In other words, women are threatened by her ..Lol..When some male fans chastised her ,she insisted she is God...

Most ARE NOT EDUCATED ABOUT BASIC THINGS. Females rarely follow me on social media because Nigerian women have very low self esteem. So guys, keep worshipping me.I am GOD!

The Shocking moment a Chinese stepmother whips & kicks a toddler for wetting herself [See Photos]

This is barbaric! This woman is from another planet.I can't believe this..Too bad! This is the shocking moment a Chinese stepmother whipped, beat, kicked and stamped on a girl less than 2 years old just because she wet herself...and the brutal beating, which lasted 5 minutes, was caught on tape.

The stepmother whipped the young girl 87 times with a branch, kicked her 14 times and gave her eight slaps to the face. The more the young girl cried, the more the woman screamed and beat her. At one time, the woman kicked the toddler in the leg until she fell. Then grabbed her by the ear, threw her to the floor, slapped her again and used a branch to beat her.

Someone filmed the assault from a widow above the compound and posted it online. Hours after it was posted online, thousands called for the woman's arrest, but the police refused to arrest her, saying there was nothing they could do. Unbelievable!! See the photos below......

Desperation Is The Cause Of Marriage Failures In Nollywood—Fidelis Duker

Ace Nollywood producer, Fidelis Duker, says reasons why marriages of entertainers don’t survive is as a result of the hype given to the marriage without considering the compatibility of each other which happens to be the end result.
Fidelis who has been married for 17years, stated that marriage is not about how much one spends, how many people were in attendance or how many media houses put the pictures on the front page of their newspapers. But iss basically about both parties asking themselves if the person they are with is a marriage ‘material’.
According to him, “We keep hearing of marriages that were done ‘hush-hush’. Why would you marry a man or a woman who has a mysterious past? If your friend or colleagues know that the person you are about to wed has a partner already, why should you still go on with such wedding? Why not do a thorough background check? But because of desperation, most marriages end up having problems both in the music and movie industry. It is because they are all desperate to get married, that is why there are so many marriage failures. I tell people that it is not everybody that would be rich and it is not everyone that would get married. People must understand that because Ms. A had her marriage in Dubai does not mean that you also have to have yours there.”

How JJC Romantic Affair With Stylist-Turned Lover Crashed

He started out as a music producer, but when it was time to kick off his career as a rapper, Abudulrasheed Bello chose to be called Johnny Just Come (JJC) because of the way he was bullied during his school days in the United Kingdom.
In a recent interview with HipTV, monitored by Nigeriafilms.com, the founder of the group, JJC and the 419 Squad, which then had D’banj and Don Jazzy as members, explained his affair with former lover came to an end about three years ago.
"Three years ago, I had wanted to walk down the aisle, but she didn't agree to come back to Nigeria with me. She wasn't ready to leave the UK. So we broke up. For now, I'm single and very ready to mingle.
“She (the lover) was my stylist and my makeup artiste. She was my all and she stood by me, but I lost her due to my decision (to return to Nigeria).
“Music is partly to blame for my not being married. I also got into the industry at a young age and ours is an industry where women form a large chunk of the fan base. I guess I made a few stupid choices because I was young. It also is difficult balancing music with a career like mine. But right now, though I am focused on my career, I am also looking for the right person,” JJC narrated.
He also described his kind of woman. The artiste said, "The funny thing is that the girl I will marry doesn’t have to be one that has a certain kind of look. I don’t have a model girl as such because I have tried beauty, it didn’t work. I have tried intelligent girls, it didn’t work also, I think what I need is a good friend. I need a girl who will be my friend and lover. But it’s hard to find a genuine friend and lover once you are a celebrity."

Airtel Frustrates Cossy Orjiakor

One of the telecoms operators in Nigeria, Airtel, seems to be having a serious issue with controversial Nigerian entertainer, Cossy Orjiakor, who is well known in the country to flaunt her massive ’milk factory’.
The actress turned singer and dancer has disclosed that her bio-data on the network of the GSM provider in Nigeria is wrong and that efforts to make the operators of the network to rectify the issue have failed.
She has even offered to purchase computers for Airtel if they are having difficulties in making the necessary corrections to her data on their network.
“Airtel, please stop frustrating me. Is it that your data base is corrupt or you need new computers? I can personally donate a laptop,” an angry Cossy wrote on Twitter on Monday.
She further wrote, “(I) bought my line while it was Econet, 08023053120, from a dealer 8-10 years ago in Surulere (Lagos). Why is the dealers name still in your data base?
“Each time I come to retrieve at Airtel office, (I am being told) same old story. Right now, (I) am sitting down in a kiosk. No AC, He (has) been calling 743 same story.”
Some Nigerians have severally expressed bad experiences in the hands of telecoms operators in the country who have continually provided bad services.

Police Confirms Blast At Estate Belonging To Ize-Iyamu In Benin City

GEN. GOWON'S 80TH BIRTHDAY THANKSGIVING SERVICE IN ABUJA

Jonathan dedicates Ebola certification to health workers, others

President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday dedicated the Ebola-free status of the country confirmed by the World Health Organisation to all health workers, volunteers and ordinary Nigerians who made the feat possible.
The dedication was contained in a statement in which the President welcomed the declaration by the WHO that the country is now officially Ebola-free after 42 days without any incidence of the Ebola Virus Disease.'The President consequently directs that all the anti-Ebola measures taken after the entry of the virus into the country should remain in place and that health officials should continue to actively screen persons entering the country through its air, land and sea borders for any sign of the virus.
'He also urges all Nigerians to continue to follow the anti-Ebola advisories on sanitation and personal hygiene issued by Federal and State Health authorities,' the statement added.
Some of the measures introduced after the entry of the virus included a ban on inter-state movements of corpses and repatriation of corpses from abroad without prior permit from the Ministry of Health.

While many observers have indeed presented their own 'Three-month LVG report cards', you could argue that a glance at United's fixture listsuggests the next month will give a much better indication as to how the Dutchman should be judged.
After The Hawthorns, three of the next four assignments for United are against Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal. All three will be judgement days of their own.
United spent the international break inside the Premier League top four - occupying a Champions League qualifying spot for the first time in more than a year.
Victory at West Brom would mean a first away win in the job for Van Gaal, who has so far travelled to Sunderland, MK Dons, Burnley and, most recently, Leicester without success.
The Hawthorns will not be an easy destination. Alan Irvine's side have only lost once in their five home fixtures. The Baggies have won their past two in front of their own fans, most recently beating Burnley 4-0.
United fans will remember Saido Berahino announcing himself at the top level just over a year ago by scoring in successive games against Arsenaland at Old Trafford.
He was barely a month out of his teens at the time and only managed a further four league goals by the end of the campaign.
A year wiser, Berahino has scored more goals for West Brom this season than all of his team-mates combined.
It can take time to settle in - sometimes more than three months - whether you are a young English striker or an old Dutch master.

West Brom skipper Chris Brunt could be fit to face Manchester United on Monday despite injuring his groin on international duty.

MATCH PREVIEW

"Judge me after three months," announced Louis van Gaal when he arrived at Old Trafford with Brazilian sand still between his toes from the World Cup.
Those three months have passed. Only three competitive games have been won. As honeymoons go it has been tough; a large transfer dowry has been badly needed.
